Where’s Criddle Zine?

Posted in blog, punk, skateboarding, slalom on January 12th, 2009 by Mr. Surly

Good question. Criddle is a hobby that has taken a back seat to everything else in my life. Dealing with an upcoming lay-off, starting college classes, my wife’s health / upcoming brain surgery, and raising kids, etc. Not complaining, just dishing out the truth. I’ve had a few emails lately asking if we will continue. Well, I’d love too. If I get laid off, I’ll probably have more time to publish something. However, if anyone out there wants to take a stab at producing a PDF issue, let me know. I have material ready to go, the zine just needs to be put together so we can post it up. Get in touch if your interested.

Foiled Fleet Continues

Gabe Steptoe and his Foiled Concepts decks continue to inspire from across the pond. The first question that comes to mind is, “how’s the cobbler over there?” Check the article at www.corduroylines.com (No Swell, No Worries) , and watch the video link below for some of that tasty cheese that only Mr. Steptoe can provide.

Slalom in Kentucky

Posted in blog, skateboarding, slalom on September 10th, 2008 by Mr. Surly

Hey everybody, Lenny Poage’s race is next weekend. Seems that the promotions team up there has been putting our boy through a tough time as of late. First, they change major sponsors (and the race name) through an email. Then the promised prize money and funds for start ramps gets pulled. What’s the matter, is Chic-Fil-A is broke? I Don’t think so. Anyway, get your butts to the race and support these folks. Lenny could use ANY donations, no matter how small. It’s a tough gig to put on even a small event … but it will be a good time, no matter what. Get in touch with us and we’ll give you a PayPal address to send that help to Kentucky.
